1. In one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  2. That Jesus Christ was and is the Son of God.
  3. In His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, and His ascension to the right hand of God the Father and in his personal return to this earth in power and glory.
  4. That all have sinned and that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through the Blood of Jesus Christ.
  5. That regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for personal salvation.
  6. That man is justified by faith in Jesus Christ, apart from works.
  7. That the redemptive work of Christ provides healing for the whole man, body, soul and spirit.
  8. That a person baptized with the Holy Spirit will speak with new tongues.
  9. In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling presence, the believer is enabled to live a godly life which manifests the fruit of the Spirit.
  10. That the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12-14, should be practiced and manifested in the church today.
  11. In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the saved to everlasting life and the lost to eternal judgment.
  12. In water baptism, by immersion, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the Lord Jesus Christ.
  13. That the Bible is the infallible Word of God, given to men by the inspiration of God.
  14. In the reality and personality of our enemy, Satan.
  15. We also remember the Lord’s death in the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper. His blood purchased salvation for us.  His broken body purchased healing for us.
  16. We believe that a scriptural marriage has only one meaning, which is God joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive, covenantal union, as delineated in Scripture. As stated in the Bible; Marriage represents the relationship of Christ and His Church, and it is a sacred covenant.
  17. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman (one’s biological sex at conception) who are married to each other. We believe sexual relationships outside of marriage and sexual relationships between persons of the same sex are immoral and sinful. Bend Christian Fellowship stands against the trend to ignore God’s laws of chastity and purity, and vigorously opposes public acceptance of sexual promiscuity and all factors and practices which promote it. Bend Christian Fellowship maintains a biblical view of human sexuality that makes the sexual experience, within the framework of marriage, a gift of God to be enjoyed as communion of a man and woman, as well as for the purpose of procreation.
  18. God created every person in His own image as male or female. We affirm God’s good design that gender identity is determined by God through biological sex and not by one’s self-perception—a perception which is often influenced by fallen human nature in ways contrary to God’s design. Any attempt to change one’s gender or any disagreement with one’s biological gender is sinful and offensive to God.
  19. We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life.
  20. We believe Scripture teaches that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and turn away from their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. This biblical principle applies to sexual sin as it does to any other sin from which a person truly repents as defined by Scripture.

The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind.
